Security & trust
Downloading a program from a small independent author always feels a bit risky. So here, in plain words, is everything about the safety of my programs.
Antivirus checks (VirusTotal)
I checked every program on VirusTotal — a service that runs the file through 70+ antivirus engines at once. Click the button next to a program to open the real report — I hide nothing.
- Kadrik — checked, clean. Open report
- Diktik — checked, clean. Open report
- Screen Recorder — checked. Open report
The links go to the official virustotal.com site. The report is public — anyone can review it.
More: how VirusTotal works and why antivirus sometimes complains →
Why one or two antiviruses may complain
On the Screen Recorder report you may see that one or two engines out of 70+ flag the file. This is a false positive — common for small programs built by an independent author without an expensive paid signature. The antivirus flags it “just in case”, not because it actually found anything.
All the major antivirus engines (Microsoft Defender, Kaspersky, ESET and others) treat the files as clean. You can always open the report via the link above and check for yourself.
The 'unknown publisher' warning on launch
On first launch Windows may show a blue SmartScreen window saying “Windows protected your PC” and “unknown publisher”. This is not a virus and not an error.
This is how Windows reacts to programs that don’t have an expensive digital signature. Such a signature costs a lot per year and is mostly available to large companies — for a small author it is still too expensive for now. As more people download a program, the warning disappears on its own over time.
To run it: click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. More detail is in the code signing policy.
Openness
The installers don’t live “somewhere on the internet” — they are hosted on the well-known GitHub platform, where the version history is visible too:
All my programs and their releases are in one account: github.com/evgeniymamonov1988z-creator.
Safe payment
You can pay through well-known payment services:
- Prodamus — for payments from Russia. How it works and whether it is safe →
- lava.top — for international cards (Visa / Mastercard). How to pay with an international card →
Your card details are entered on the payment system’s side — the site never sees or stores them. After payment you receive the full version of the program.
If something isn’t right, you can always get a refund under the refund terms.
